Who may appear
The ranking is a general-purpose promotional board. Eligible destinations include ordinary online businesses, software, shops, apps, games, creators, publications and portfolios. Only an approved listing may purchase a position.
How eligibility works
Promoted content is subject to technical and content-policy checks. A listing that has been approved for the ranking is not automatically allowed to promote every destination. FIRST FOR NOW does not claim that every website is automatically scanned, that software verifies every destination, or that approval is instant.
What is not accepted
Listings whose primary purpose involves any of the following are refused or removed:
- pornography or explicit adult content;
- sexual services;
- illegal goods or services;
- malware, phishing, scams, or impersonation intended to deceive;
- gambling, betting or casino services;
- illegal or high-risk drug sales, including cannabis sales where incompatible with platform or payment policies;
- tobacco or vaping products;
- weapons or explosives sales;
- counterfeit goods or obvious intellectual-property infringement;
- pyramid schemes or fraudulent investment schemes;
- deceptive get-rich-quick schemes;
- high-risk financial or crypto services where prohibited or incompatible with payment-provider policies;
- illegal or improperly sold prescription medicines;
- content promoting illegal violence;
- hateful or extremist content, including terrorist or extremist support;
- destinations that intentionally redirect visitors to prohibited content.
This list may be expanded for safety, compliance or payment-provider reasons. Payment-provider rules may be stricter than this page.
Promotion-policy families
Automated screening scores destinations against these FIRST FOR NOW families. FFN_EVAL_V8 remains the evaluator. A family name is a policy label, not a criminal charge:
- FRAUD_SCAM — fraud, scams, deceptive get-rich-quick or impersonation intended to deceive;
- ILLEGAL_GOODS_SERVICES — illegal goods or services;
- GAMBLING_BETTING — gambling, betting or casino services;
- EXPLICIT_SEXUAL — pornography or explicit adult content, including sexual services;
- PROHIBITED_DRUGS — illegal or high-risk drug sales, including cannabis where incompatible;
- PROHIBITED_WEAPONS_EXPLOSIVES — weapons or explosives sales;
- EXTREMIST_TERRORIST_SUPPORT — hateful or extremist content, including terrorist support;
- COUNTERFEIT_UNLAWFUL_COMMERCE — counterfeit goods or other unlawful commerce;
- MALWARE_PHISHING — malware, phishing or malicious downloads.
Also refused
- intellectual-property infringement;
- impersonation;
- deceptive redirects;
- malicious downloads;
- cloaking;
- attempts to circumvent moderation;
- unsafe destination changes after approval.
FIRST FOR NOW may review, block, remove, suspend, re-evaluate or refuse exposure. It does not promise that every destination is scanned or that detection is complete.
Review decisions
A listing may be:
- pending — submitted, not yet eligible to compete;
- approved — may purchase positions and may be visited through /go;
- under review — may stay on the ranking, but outbound visits are blocked and new purchases are refused;
- rejected — not published; an unpublished listing may be corrected and resubmitted;
- suspended — removed from the ranking immediately, including through active protection, with no automatic refund.
Changing an approved destination, name, tagline or logo creates a pending revision. The live listing does not change until that revision is approved.
Reports
Anyone — including people without an account — may notify FIRST FOR NOW of specific information they consider illegal. That notice path is separate from the signed-in listing report, which still exists for confirmed accounts. Neither path removes a listing by itself, refunds anyone, or moves the ranking. The listing owner is not shown who notified.
